Admire Pro Systemic Protectant is an insecticide containing 6.5% active ingredient Imidacloprid. It is designed for use in pest management and the maintenance of plant health. This product is a suspension concentrate (flowable) formulation that requires shaking well before use. It is used to control various pests, though specific target pests are detailed in the full directions for use section. The product is highly toxic to bees and other insect pollinators; users must follow strict application restrictions to protect pollinators, including avoiding applications when bees are foraging or during flowering. It should not be applied to plants grown in non-soil media like vermiculite or rock wool. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, natural rubber, polyethylene, polyvinylchloride (PVC), or viton), and shoe covers. Users should also be aware of environmental hazards, as the product is toxic to aquatic invertebrates and should not be applied near aquatic areas or where water is subject to interception by water tables. Always follow the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural uses.
