Envoke is a selective herbicide used for the postemergence control of certain broadleaf, sedge, and grass weeds. It is formulated for use in cotton, sugarcane, and transplanted tomato crops. The active ingredient is triflusulfuron-sodium (75.0%). The product is formulated as a water-dispersible granule that must be thoroughly and uniformly mixed in water and applied as a spray. When applied, susceptible weeds typically turn yellow, red, or purple, with complete plant death generally occurring within 1 to 3 weeks depending on weed species and growing conditions. Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (such as butyl rubber, nitrile, neoprene, natural rubber, polyethylene, PVC, or Viton), and shoes plus socks. Users should wash hands before eating, drinking, or using tobacco/toilet, and remove contaminated clothing immediately. This product carries a groundwater advisory, as it may leach into groundwater in areas with permeable soils and shallow water tables. It is toxic to vascular plants and should be applied strictly according to drift precautions to minimize off-site exposure.
