Moddus is a plant growth regulator (PGR) used for the growth management of various grasses. Its active ingredient is Trinexapac-ethyl at a concentration of 25.5%. It is designed to inhibit the production of gibberellic acid, which helps in shortening internodes in grasses grown for seed and cereals, resulting in a reduction in lodging. It is also used in sugarcane to improve seed piece production and increase or maintain sugar content for an extended harvest window. Moddus is an emulsifiable concentrate that is rapidly absorbed by the foliage; note that it does not occur through soil uptake. Applications can be made via ground or aerial methods. For ground applications, do not use a nozzle height greater than 4 feet above the crop canopy. For aerial applications, the boom length must not exceed 75% of the wingspan or 90% of the rotor blade diameter. When mixing, ensure thorough coverage and avoid spray overlap to prevent crop injury. The product is compatible with certain tank mixes, such as Till! Fungicide or Quilt Fungicide, but users should always check specific compatibility instructions. Always follow Worker Protection Standard (WPS) requirements, especially regarding the Restricted-Entry Interval (REI) of 12 hours.
