Reglone Desiccant is a nonvolatile herbicide used as a preharvest aid to desiccate certain crops to facilitate harvesting. It contains 37.3% Diquat dibromide as its active ingredient. It is also recommended for use as a general herbicide to control weeds in noncrop areas and minimizing crop damage. The product works by being rapidly absorbed by green plant tissue and interacting with the photosynthetic process to destroy plant cells, typically showing effects within a few days. It is intended for commercial use. When applying, ensure complete coverage of the target weed or crop. For aerial applications, use specific nozzle and boom height requirements. For ground applications, use appropriate equipment like boom equipment, medicated hand equipment, or backpack sprayers. Always use a nonionic surfactant (NIS) and follow specific rate instructions. Note that the product is toxic to aquatic invertebrates; do not apply directly to water or areas where surface water is present. Always wear required PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear, and long-sleeved clothing. If using a respirator, ensure it is NIOSH-approved.
